Back to School

T'was the night before school started

And the only thing that smarted

Was Emmanuel Tzvi's back

From his bag that had to be carted...

Sigh, he insisted on going to bed with it (and a pair of shoes that I'm not sure where they came from because I never bought such things)...

July 28, 2009

Wow...it's been a while

The kids' new furniture...it wasn't supposed to have arrived yet.

Closet - 160cm. The left-hand door has hanging space; the middle doors are shelving; the right-hand door is shelving, but they drilled the holes for hanging space for when everyone gets older and has Shabbat shirts...

Bed - the top. I forgot that Emmanuel Tzvi would be able to climb up from the lower bed... The current plan is to leave ET on the bottom while we do the transfer with Shai; when they can both sleep without falling off we'll put the bar across on the top one and turn the bottom one so the high side is not against the wall, and we'll move everyone to their new beds. (Chana came to play this afternoon.)

Echad, Two, Shalosh!

They say that you can tell a person's mother tongue by what language he or she counts in. That it doesn't matter how fluent you are in a 2nd language, you'll always revert to count. I wonder what they would do with Emmanuel Tzvi?

It's a girl!

Emma did not make it to the unveiling this morning. She was the shloshim siyyum last night, although it's questionable whether she should have been. Baby was born sometime after 10:30, but before midnight, so she does not share her grandmother's birthday.

Chanukah (very pic heavy)

I think Daddy would be very proud of Emmanuel's shirt.

And for good measure:
